Admissions for International Students
(Bachelor and Short-term language students)
I. Majors
We provide Bachelor degree programs in a variety of disciplines (See Attachment I for Bachelor programs taught in Chinese).
Currently below bachelor programs are available taught in English: Civil Engineering, International Trade, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Business administration,Mining Engineering. Short-term Language program taught in both English and Chinese: Chinese Language program.
II. Requirements
1. The applicants shall obey Chinese law and relevant regulations of JXUST.
2. The applicants shall meet with the health standards required by the Ministry of Education of P. R. China.
3. The bachelor’s degree applicants shall have had the Graduation Certificate of Senior High School.
4. The applicants who choose the teaching language of Chinese shall provide HSK Level-5 certificate at lowest.
III. How to Apply
The applicants shall provide the following documents and Email: sie@jxust.edu.cn
1) Copy of passport;
2) JXUST International Students Application Form (See Attachment II for the Application Form);
3) The copy of the Certificate of Medical Examination ;
4) Graduation Certificate of Senior High School and transcript;
5) The copy of HSK certificate (if the applicants have);
6) Three photos for application form: recently taken two - inch half – length, bareheaded and full – faced.
7) Financial Sponsor’s passport.
IV. Application Time
1） Spring Semester: apply no later than 15th December every year and the result will be given in February.
2） Fall Semester: apply no later than 15th June every year and the result will be given in July.

V. Admission
After examining the applicant's application documents, the School of International Education will issue the Admission Notice and other necessary documents for those who qualify the enrollment requirements of JXUST.
VI. Registration
Students should apply for the Student's Visa (X1 Visa) to the Chinese Embassy or Consulates in their own country with passport, Admission Notice, Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) and Physical Examination Form. The registration date to JXUST will be specified in the Enrollment Requirements and Notices. When going through the registration procedures, new students should submit all the original documents aforesaid to the Office of International Students of JXUST.
If the student cannot arrive to JXUST for registration on the set date for personal reasons, he/she should ask for permission from the Office of International Students in advance in written form. If the student fail to register within two weeks without prior permission, he/she will be regarded as giving up the admission.
VII. Program Duration
Duration for Bachelor program is 4 years.
VIII. Fees and Scholarship (RMB)
1. Tuition Fees of Bachelor Degree
1) BA Program:14000.00RMB per year;
2) BSc Program: 16000.00RMB per year.
2. Tuition Fee for Short-term Language Program(One Year)
Chinese language: 10000.00RMB per year .
3. Accommodation Fees
1) Double Room: 2,800.00 RMB/year.
4. Scholarship
1) JXUST will provide tuition-fee-free scholarship to students for the first year. From the second to fourth year, students shall apply for the scholarship and the university will award scholarship based on their performance in the previous year according to the university regulations.The students who wants to transfer to other universities are required to return the scholarship enjoyed in the previous year. JXUST will not provide scholarship to short- term language students.
2) JXUST helps students to apply for the scholarship from Chinese government and Jiangxi provincial government.
5. Medical Insurance, physical examination, resident permit and other fees will be paid on actual cost.
IX. Training scheme
The training scheme for international students is same as Chinese students, but international students can be exempt from some courses (such as the Political courses and social practice) and should take some Chinese courses (such as Overview of China and Public Chinese).
X. Training scheme
International students who have completed all the courses and thesis and meet the graduation requirements of JXUST will be conferred the Graduation Certificate and Certificate of Bachelor Degree.
